Les Miserables

My boyfriend bought me tickets to watch Les Miserable for Christmas; I have wanted to see the show for a very long time and it did not disappoint.

I was mesmerised from the beginning: the singing, the costumes, the actors, the set and the story were amazing. Throughout the show my hairs stood on end and my body was covered in goose-bumps as I sat on the edge of my seat. At four individual scenes, my eyes filled up as I became overwhelmed with emotional and awe; when Fantine sang 'I Dreamed a Dream'; when Eponine sang 'On My Own'; when Jean Valjean sang 'Bring Him Home' and in the final scene when Jean Valjean died. Unsurprisingly, I gave a standing ovation as the show ended, along with the rest of the audience.

As Sean and I left the theatre, I was overcome with emotion and was 'choked up'; I felt like crying, the story was beautiful, sad, but beautiful. The singing was phenomenal and I was swept up with the story. Sean is not usually a fan of the theatre and he enjoyed it too, hopefully I have him hooked and he will take me to watch Billy Elliot next *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*.

I have seen many, many theatrical productions and I think this was my favourite, and I would definitely watch it again and again!!
