Just a quick post today about my love for cooking programmes.
My favourite programme on the television at the moment is undoubtedly 'MasterChef' followed closely by the Hairy Bikers. Although I would love to cook for John Torrode, Greg Wallace or Michel Roux Jnr, I would never want to participate in MasterChef; I couldn't deal with the high pressured environment of the professional kitchen - hats off to those that do. I think the 2 chefs and food critic would be blown away by my fantastic food and inventive flavours! :)
The Hairy Bikers cook proper food with big portions and large dollops of ingredients; it's a shame we don't have smelly telly. There are a few recipes I've kept a mental note of to cook for my boyfriend.
I love cooking new things and experimenting with food and I think I'll post some recipes on my blog in future and show my talent off to the world. I must admit, I learnt to cook from my mum, who is quite simply, the best cook in the world!!
One day, when friends are invited over for dinner parties, I want them to complement my food and turn to Sean and say 'wow, your girlfriend can cook so well, you're very lucky.' And when I have children, I want their friends to praise my cooking too. Basically, I want to be the domestic goddess...Move over Nigella....
